Rules for posting on the Alleavia rehoming marketplace

1. Minimum age

Puppies and kittens may not be advertised under 8 weeks of age. They must be fully weaned and able to eat independently. The form blocks any submission below this threshold.

2. Microchipping (IE / UK / EU dogs & cats)

If you live in Ireland, the United Kingdom, or any EU country listed in the form, dogs and cats must be microchipped before rehoming. Tick the microchip checkbox truthfully. Lying here may breach your local law.

3. Banned breeds

Breeds restricted by your country's law cannot be advertised here. The form rejects them automatically. Currently includes (non-exhaustive): XL Bully / Pit Bull Terrier / Japanese Tosa / Dogo Argentino / Fila Brasileiro in Ireland and the United Kingdom.

4. Private rehomers only

This marketplace is for private owners rehoming their own pet. Commercial breeders, puppy farms, and pet shops may not post. Reported commercial activity is removed without refund and the account IP is banned.

5. Honest descriptions

Disclose known health conditions, behavioural issues, vaccination status, neutering status, and reason for rehoming. Adopters who feel deceived are far more likely to return the animal — bad for everyone, especially the pet.

6. No payment scams

Alleavia never asks for and never handles your rehoming fee. Don't accept gift cards, Western Union, crypto-only, or "shipping in advance" payments — these are signs of fraud. Meet adopters in person where possible. Verify ID. Use traceable payment methods.

7. We are not a party to your deal

Alleavia is the introduction layer. We do not take responsibility for any agreement, transport, payment, health, or behaviour outcome between you and an adopter. You agree on your own terms, in writing if you wish.

8. No refunds on extension or feature fees

The first 7 days of every ad are free. Extending costs $2.99 / 30 days; featuring costs $2.99 / 7 days. There are no auto-renewals and no refunds. Once an ad expires it is hidden and then permanently deleted after 30 days — there is no recovery.

9. AdSense and ad-free

Alleavia does not run third-party advertising on the marketplace pages. Your listing is not surrounded by Google ads. The platform is funded by the optional $2.99 fees.

10. Reporting

See something that breaks these rules? Click the "Report this ad" button on any listing. Three independent reports auto-hide an ad pending admin review. We can ban IPs and remove ads without notice for any breach of this code.
