Cats drink more from moving water
Many cats are chronically under-hydrated because still water in a bowl does not interest them — an instinct that steers them away from stagnant sources. A fountain keeps the water moving and filtered, and most cats drink noticeably more from one.
Why the cordless part matters
- No trailing cable — a corded fountain has to live beside a socket, which is rarely where you want the water bowl. This one does not.
- 3 litres — enough for a multi-cat household or a dog, and it means topping up every few days rather than daily.
- Filtered — removes hair and debris, which is most of what makes a water bowl unpleasant by day three.
Good to know
Change the filter as directed and rinse the pump regularly — a neglected fountain is worse than a clean bowl. Increased thirst is also a symptom of several conditions including kidney disease and diabetes, so if your pet suddenly starts drinking much more, speak to your vet rather than assuming the fountain is doing its job.
