Confident, watchful, loyal, aloof with strangers. Cane Corsos need clear leadership and lifelong socialisation.
Exercise
60β90 minutes of structured daily exercise plus mental work.

Short coat, weekly brush.
Health
Hip and elbow dysplasia. Bloat / GDV. Cherry eye. Demodectic mange in puppies. Idiopathic epilepsy.
Calm, affectionate, dignified, protective. Mastiffs are famously good with children of their own family. Wary of strangers but rarely aggressive β they tend to body-block rather than attack.
Exercise
30β45 minutes a day of moderate walking. Heavy-bodied breeds shouldn't jog or run on hard surfaces. Puppies must avoid impact until 18 months+.
