The Irish Setter's flame-red coat and graceful build are unmistakable. Bred in Ireland to hunt game birds, today's Setter is a glamorous family companion famous for retaining puppy-like exuberance well into adulthood (often 3–4 years).

Temperament

Joyful, affectionate, sociable, sometimes scatterbrained. Excellent with children and other pets. Bonded with everyone.

Exercise needs

90+ minutes of daily exercise. They love to run.

Long silky red coat. Brush 3× weekly. Light trimming around feet/ears.
