The Manx is the original tailless cat, native to the Isle of Man for centuries. The genetic mutation that causes taillessness can also cause spinal defects when both parents carry the gene β€” modern responsible breeding tries to limit this.

Temperament

Calm, friendly, dog-like, often "fetching" toys. Manx are good with children, dogs and other cats.
