The Ragamuffin split off from Ragdoll breeders in 1994 to broaden the colour gene pool — they accept any colour, where the Ragdoll only accepts pointed patterns. Otherwise temperament and traits are very similar.

Affectionate, calm, gentle. Famously good with children and other pets.

Grooming

Semi-long coat, brush 2× weekly.

Common health issues

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Polycystic kidney disease.
