The bit everyone hates, solved
Slicker brushes work well and are miserable to clean. This one retracts the pins at the press of a button, so the mat of collected fur lifts off in one piece and goes straight in the bin.
Why it works
- Fine bent pins reach the loose undercoat without dragging at the skin.
- One-click release means you actually keep brushing rather than stopping to pick fur out.
- Suits most coat types — double coats, medium and long hair.
Good to know
Slicker pins are sharp by design. Use light strokes and let the pin tips do the work; pressing hard causes “brush burn”, especially on thin-skinned breeds. Not the right tool for a heavily matted coat — mats need splitting by hand or clipping out by a groomer.
