The Devon Rex began with a single curly-coated kitten born in Devon, England in 1959. The breed combines a curly coat (single-layer, low-shed), oversized ears and a pixie face. Devons are famously playful, mischievous and often well-tolerated by people with cat allergies.

Temperament

Playful, mischievous, affectionate, dog-like. Devons love being on shoulders, in laps and involved in everything.

Exercise needs

Highly active. Cat trees, food puzzles, interactive play.

Grooming

Wavy coat โ€” minimal brushing (it's fragile). Bathe occasionally if greasy.
