πββ¬ Oriental Shorthair
Temperament
Vocal, social, intelligent, demanding. Orientals form deep bonds with their humans and need constant company.
Exercise
Highly active. Need interactive toys, vertical space, and ideally another cat for company.
Grooming
Short fine coat β weekly brush.
Health
Same as Siamese: amyloidosis, asthma, dental disease, separation anxiety, glaucoma. Generally healthy.
Energetic, mischievous, intensely social, attention-seeking. Sphynx cats often follow their humans like dogs and can be jealous of a single owner's attention.
Exercise
Very active. Need play, climbing, mental enrichment. Many do well with another cat for company.
Grooming
Surprisingly high. Weekly bathing is essential β skin oils that fur normally absorbs build up on the skin. Wipe ears weekly. Sphynx feel cold easily and may need sweaters in winter.
