The Finnish Spitz is Finland's national dog — bred over thousands of years to "bark-point" game birds, alerting hunters by yodelling at trees. Fox-like in appearance and famously vocal.

Lively, brave, friendly, vocal. Independent thinker.
Exercise needs
60–90 minutes daily.
Grooming
Double coat. Brush 2–3× weekly, daily during seasonal moults.
Common health issues
Generally healthy and long-lived. Watch for: patellar luxation, hip dysplasia, epilepsy.
