The Norwich Terrier shares ancestry and most traits with the Norfolk; the two were originally one breed (separated in 1964). Erect ears and a slightly more confident "ratter" temperament.

Confident, friendly, alert, sociable.
Exercise needs
45–60 minutes daily.
Grooming
Wire double coat. Hand-strip every 8–10 weeks.
Common health issues
Upper airway syndrome (NUAS — Norwich-specific). Mitral valve disease. Atopy.

Smoky / dusty environments (NUAS risk).
