The Norfolk Terrier (and the closely related, prick-eared Norwich) is one of the smallest working terriers โ bred in 19th-century England to hunt vermin. Norfolks have drop ears; Norwiches are erect-eared. Friendly and adaptable family dogs.
Temperament
Affectionate, fearless, friendly. Pack-orientated and good with other dogs.
Exercise needs
45โ60 minutes daily.
Grooming
Wire double coat. Hand-strip every 8โ10 weeks. Weekly brush.
Common health issues
Generally healthy. Watch for: mitral valve disease, hip dysplasia, atopy.
