Vizsla
Hungarian "velcro dog" — affectionate, athletic, brilliant family hunting companion.
The Vizsla was bred over a thousand years ago by Magyar tribes in Hungary as a versatile hunting companion. They're famously affectionate — often called "velcro Vizslas" — and combine high working drive with deep family bonds. Their golden-rust coat is unmistakable.
Temperament
Affectionate, gentle, energetic, bonded. Vizslas need to be with their people; they suffer real separation anxiety. Excellent with children and other dogs.
Exercise needs
90+ minutes of daily exercise plus mental work. Excellent for runners, cyclists, hunters and sport handlers.
Grooming
Very short coat, weekly brush. Bathe every 8–10 weeks.
Common health issues
Generally robust. Watch for: hip dysplasia, lymphoma (over-represented), epilepsy, hyperuricosuria.

Active families, owners home most of the day, runners, country / suburban homes.
👎 Not best for
Households empty all day. Apartments without serious exercise commitment.
